README-turbo.txt explains how to use libjpeg-turbo at run time and develop your own applications with it. This file can be found in the source tree or, if you installed one of the official distribution packages, it can be found in the following locations:

Linux:
/usr/share/doc/libjpeg-turbo-{version}

Windows:
c:\libjpeg-turbo\doc, c:\libjpeg-turbo64\doc, c:\libjpeg-turbo-gcc\doc, or c:\libjpeg-turbo-gcc64\doc

OS X:
/Library/Documentation/libjpeg-turbo

Solaris/x86:
/opt/libjpeg-turbo/doc

libjpeg API

The libjpeg API and associated programs (cjpeg, djpeg, etc.) are documented in the files example.c, libjpeg.txt, usage.txt, and wizard.txt, which can be found in the source tree or in the same documentation directories described above.
